US Army spokeswoman Captain Molly Treece confirmed that three of the four pilots on board the two helicopters were killed. The surviving pilot was taken to hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

Meanwhile, the 11th Airborne Division announced that authorities were quickly present at the scene and conducting an investigation. More information about the incident will be announced as soon as possible.

The two Apache helicopters were assigned to the 25th Aviation Regiment of the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Wainwright. The crash occurred near Healy, Alaska, about 80 miles southwest of Fairbanks. This is the second crash this year in Alaska involving Apache helicopters. In February, an Apache helicopter crashed at Talkeetna Airport in southern Alaska, injuring two soldiers.

Earlier, according to the AP news agency, two US Army helicopters crashed in Alaska while returning from a training flight on the morning of April 28 (Vietnam time). This is the second accident involving military helicopters in this state since the beginning of this year.
