The Office of the State Council of Professors has announced the list of candidates proposed for consideration for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2023. Among them are 3 associate professor candidates, all 33 years old.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Nham
The first person is Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Nham (majoring in finance and banking), who used to work at the Academy of Policy and Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment. She is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Finance, University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Dr. Nham, as a university lecturer, he has always recognized that teaching and scientific research are two important tasks that always complement each other. Scientific research activities are closely related to the specialized field of economics, taking advantage of quantitative research methods.
In addition, the research projects are also closely related to the major that Dr. Nham is teaching and guiding students at the Faculty of Finance, while also being consistent with the school's development orientation and adapting to the general development trends of the country as well as internationally.
"Therefore, my recent research has focused on three main directions: financial markets and financial and monetary barriers to business development; business efficiency and financial management; macroeconomic issues, globalization associated with sustainable development," said Dr. Nham.
Dr. Nham owns 52 scientific works, published in prestigious domestic and international journals, and peer-reviewed proceedings of national and international scientific conferences. Of these, 14 articles were published in prestigious international scientific journals in the ISI/Scopus category.

Dr. Phan Thi Thu Hien
The next 33-year-old associate professor candidate is Dr. Phan Thi Thu Hien (majoring in accounting - auditing), lecturer in the auditing department, Faculty of Accounting - Auditing, Foreign Trade University ( Hanoi ).
Dr. Hien has been a grassroots Emulation Fighter for many years, received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Industry and Trade, and is an outstanding young lecturer at the Foreign Trade University.
Dr. Hien has guided 5 individuals to successfully defend their master's theses. In addition, he has completed 8 scientific research topics from the grassroots level and above, including 2 ministerial-level topics and 1 state-level topic. He has also published 65 scientific articles, of which 36 were published in prestigious international journals. Dr. Hien also has 9 books published by prestigious publishers.
According to Dr. Hien, during more than 10 years of participating in teaching and scientific research activities as a lecturer, he has always continuously cultivated his moral qualities, strived to improve and enhance his professional qualifications, and excellently completed his tasks.

Dr. Le Thanh Ha
The final candidate is Dr. Le Thanh Ha (majoring in economics), currently a lecturer in the department of microeconomics, Faculty of Economics, National Economics University (Hanoi).
Dr. Ha graduated from university with a degree in economics in 2011. He then received a master's degree in public policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan in 2015. Three years later, he received a doctorate in international economics from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan.
Dr. Ha has completed 3 scientific research topics from the grassroots level and above, published 65 scientific articles, including 55 articles in international journals, and published 5 books from reputable publishers...
According to Dr. Ha, his main research directions are: economics of energy and environmental issues; international economics and international trade; calculating the level of digital transformation and assessing the impact caused by digital transformation; research on the monetary and financial system and macroeconomic policies (including monetary and fiscal).
Dr. Ha has worked at the National Economics University for more than 11 years as a lecturer. During that time, this young doctor has taught full-time undergraduate students and international joint programs in Vietnam. At the same time, Dr. Ha has also actively participated in guiding young lecturers and students to participate in scientific research activities at the university.
