30 teams compete in the Composite Hull Race

STO - The composite boat racing competition to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day (November 18) took place enthusiastically at the irrigation canal of Phu Giao hamlet, Thanh Quoi commune, My Xuyen district (Soc Trang) organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Quoi commune on November 5. There were 30 teams from the districts: My Xuyen, My Tu, Thanh Tri and Bac Lieu province with nearly 300 athletes participating.

The teams were divided into 8 groups, competing in a round robin format to determine the winners and runners-up, then competing in a knockout round to determine the fastest team to finish the 400-meter race. Thousands of people came to watch and cheer.

The tournament also received great attention from businesses and sponsors, so the prize structure was doubled compared to the plan to encourage sportsmanship and promote a series of cultural, artistic and sports activities to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. People who came to watch and cheer were also guided by the union members to activate and install level 1 and level 2 electronic identification.

Mr. Ma Thanh Don - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Quoi Commune, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said: "This is the largest tournament ever organized on the occasion of the great national unity day. Thereby promoting the spirit of sports practice, promoting the movement of the whole people uniting to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

In the end, the championship went to Phu Giao Dau Sau team. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Quoi commune also awarded the second prize to Tam Soc B2 team, the third prize to Lo Ngon Tra E team and encouragement to Lo Moi team.
