Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong spoke.
According to Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong, through the contest, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that in the coming time, agencies and functional units in charge of art units and theaters with artists and musicians participating in the contest need to continue to pay attention and invest carefully in both human and material resources for the performances; have policies to attract, nurture and train young and talented artists and musicians to be the next generation.
Regarding artistic expertise, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Thien Hoang Quan, Director of the Performing Center - Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Chairman of the Jury, commented that the traditional art troupes clearly demonstrated the musical characteristics of their regions, areas, and localities. The music and dance troupes demonstrated modernity in bringing Western musical instruments, vocal music or other effects to support traditional musical instruments to create newer, more modern traditional works. The training units with mature musical styles that are both traditional and classical, academic, have also created their own, non-duplicated styles...
The Chairman of the Jury also raised some issues that need to be considered and discussed, such as some traditional art troupes often encounter difficulties in performing adapted works or new compositions, including both solo and ensemble forms. Some units use supporting means as the main factor for the performance; some performances use electronic musical instruments, vocal music, and illustrative dance to overwhelm the main role of traditional musical instruments...
