31 gardeners in Krong Pac district of Dak Lak province compete in the durian growing contest

The 2nd Krong Pac Durian Festival in 2024 with the theme "Krong Pac Durian - Development and Integration" aims to promote, advertise and introduce Krong Pac durian specialties, high-quality fruits, agricultural products, OCOP products, potential specialties and strengths of Dak Lak province in general and Krong Pac district in particular. The festival will take place from August 31 to September 2, 2024.

Accordingly, this year's durian festival has 12 main, attractive events and activities on a large scale. Of which, more than 50% of the activities and events have new features such as: Competition for excellent durian farmers; Fair to introduce OCOP products and potential local agriculture; Street festival; Cultural and culinary festival of ethnic groups in Krong Pac district; Experience enjoying durian in the garden, visiting ancient durian trees; Workshop on building and developing a sustainable durian ecosystem; Cross-country race for community health...

In addition, there will be a DJ night and a light dance for artistic exchange between art clubs and groups; a flag-raising ceremony, ao dai and ethnic costume performances; and an artistic fireworks display.

Accordingly, the competition for good durian farmers will include 4 competitions: Durian garden with productivity and quality; Most beautiful and delicious durian fruit and performance of cutting/opening durian fruit; Knocking/catching and classifying durian fruit and Competition for the audience: knowledge in the durian industry.

The durian farmer competition is one of the 12 main activities of the 2nd Krong Pac durian festival in 2024.

According to the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Krong Pac Durian Festival, in 2024, there are currently 31 gardeners registered for the Good Durian Farmer Competition.

Currently, the Organizing Committee is scoring the competition: Durian gardens with productivity and quality at registered gardens in 11 communes and towns. The competition is expected to end on August 10.
