The Ambassador also expressed his hope that through the process of studying and living in the country of a billion people, young people will actively spread the Vietnam-China friendship, contributing to building trust and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries through exchange activities, sharing daily experiences, academics and culture.

Recalling the famous saying “Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles”, the diplomat advised students to actively spread the Vietnam-China friendship in the process of traveling “ten thousand miles”; “keep an open mind, bravely express yourself, use the enthusiasm and sincerity of Vietnamese youth to continue writing the story of friendship between the two brotherly nations”.

On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation Nguyen Hai Thanh congratulated young Vietnamese people who had successfully passed the selection process to receive scholarships to prestigious universities in China.

Affirming that education and training is one of the bright spots in the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh assessed that the educational cooperation program between the two countries has been implemented in a diverse and effective manner in many fields and levels.

In recent years, China has trained many cadres and experts for Vietnam in fields such as traditional medicine, economics, tourism, agriculture...

The Northeast Asian country is also an increasingly attractive study destination for international students in general and Vietnamese students in particular, thanks to its increasingly improved education quality, reasonable costs and rapid economic development.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh hopes that students will promote the spirit of learning, actively practice, absorb the quintessence of knowledge, skills and international experience to become global citizens, contribute to the development of the homeland and strengthen the Vietnam-China friendship.

“I believe that after studying in China, you will become good officials, experts, and global citizens, actively contributing to the cause of national construction and development, as well as fostering the increasingly strong friendship between the people of the two countries,” Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh emphasized.

On behalf of 34 students receiving scholarships, Tran Ngoc Van Anh, a student at the Foreign Language High School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, expressed her sincere and deepest thanks to the Chinese Embassy as well as the Ministry of Education and Training.

For me, this is not only an opportunity for young people to study and train in one of the world's leading educational environments, but also a solid stepping stone for each person to reach their dreams and ambitions.

Looking back on the past, Van Anh always believes that to achieve success, there is no other way than to make constant efforts and attempts; at the same time, she believes that with her own efforts, along with the help of teachers and friends, she will quickly integrate into the new learning environment, acquire useful knowledge and reap many successes.

I also hope to have the opportunity to exchange and learn with international students, to share knowledge and experience and build a united and strong student community.

“I hope that after completing my studies, I will be able to return to contribute a small part to the development of my homeland and country, becoming a bridge of friendship, contributing to strengthening and developing the good relationship between Vietnam and China,” Van Anh proudly affirmed.

Holding in her hand the admission paper to Tsinghua University - the most prestigious school in China, Pham Mai Anh, 19 years old, could not hide her happiness when interviewed by The Gioi va Viet Nam Newspaper .

For me, this is an opportunity to study at a top school in Asia, to interact with the elites in the academic world and to learn knowledge and experience from international students.

Not stopping there, Mai Anh is also deeply aware of her role in promoting relations between the two countries. She hopes to “build a small bridge”, bringing the culture and fine traditions of her country to the world, while deepening the friendly neighborly relationship between Vietnam and China.

Among the 34 Chinese Government scholarships in the 2025-2026 academic year, there are 4 doctoral scholarships, 7 master's scholarships and 23 undergraduate scholarships.
