1. Reasonable review schedule

In the days leading up to the exam, students should not worry too much and study too much, stay up too late, or wake up late. They need to have a reasonable daily schedule that fits the biological rhythm of the exam days, at least one week before the exam.

For example: In the morning, students should wake up early, have breakfast, review subjects between 7:30 and 11:30, then eat and take a nap, continue reviewing in the afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30, and should not stay up too late in the evening. They should not participate in sports activities that can easily cause injury, and eat healthy.

During these days, students should not learn new content, but should review all the topics and solutions that teachers have taught, and reread basic knowledge in textbooks.

If you have any problems, you should ask your teacher immediately for answers. When reviewing, you can do some exercises in between and set a timer to balance the time appropriately.

2. Listen carefully to the regulations on the day of the exam (June 9)

On June 9, candidates will be informed of the exam regulations and the exam registration form. If they find any incorrect information, they should inform the staff at the exam site. Parents and candidates should read the information about the exam location on the exam registration form to arrive at the right place and on time.

Also during this session, candidates need to pay attention to confirm with the exam supervisor about the information on the notice, the exam registration board, listen carefully to the regulations during the exam, the items that can and cannot be brought into the exam room.

3. Five things to keep in mind on the 10th grade exam day

- Items allowed in the exam room: Exam registration form, citizen identification card, school supplies: pens, pencils for multiple choice questions, ruler, compass, eraser, calculator without memory card and word processing function.

Students can bring water in a clear, unlabeled bottle. Students should prepare 5-6 pens of the same type and color. For multiple-choice test marking, use HB or 2B pencils to mark quickly and evenly, and to erase easily if corrections are needed. Students should buy a new eraser to clean up multiple-choice test markings.

- Dress code: Candidates should wear school uniforms, avoid situations like some years, some students wore shorts, short skirts to the exam and had to change clothes. If you ride a bicycle or electric bike, you need to park it at the designated place of the exam site.

- When doing essay tests: The time limit for essay tests (Math, Literature) is 120 minutes, so after receiving the test, candidates should calmly read the entire test 1-2 times, think and quickly write down their own notes about each question on scratch paper. At this time, candidates need to stay calm regardless of the level and content of the question.

When doing the test, students follow the motto "easy to do, hard to ignore", which means handling easy questions carefully to get full points. Normally, the test also arranges the questions in order from easy to difficult.

For more difficult questions, candidates need to have a time strategy. If after 8-10 minutes they still have no idea, they need to move on to another question. In case they cannot do the whole question, they should try to separate the ideas of the question to get points.

Foreign Language subject has many confusing questions and answers, such as questions requiring choosing incorrect sentences, antonyms, or sentences not mentioned in the passage... Students must read carefully and underline key, important words.

When there are 10 minutes left, candidates should check their answers. If they find any mistakes, they should erase the old answer box and fill in a new box on the test paper. Absolutely avoid filling in two answers for one question, filling in unclearly, forgetting to fill in, or not filling in completely. If you cannot think of an answer, you can randomly choose a box, if you are lucky you can win points.

Before submitting the test, candidates must also carefully check the information on the multiple-choice answer sheet, the highlighted items such as registration number, test code, and answers to the questions.

- Psychology: After each exam, students should not discuss the results of the exam, access social networks, or look at the answers. This will affect their psychology for the next exam if their results are not good. Instead, students should go home, eat, and rest to ensure their health for the next exam.

4. Note to parents whose children are taking the 10th grade exam

Parents play a very important role in accompanying, sharing, and encouraging their children to pass the 10th grade entrance exam.

About a week before the exam, parents need to work with their children to adjust their biological rhythm to match the exam time, encourage their children to review, and not create unnecessary pressure.

On the exam day, parents or relatives should arrange time to take their children to the exam, to ensure they do not go to the wrong exam location, and to promptly handle any situations that may arise such as candidates forgetting documents, school supplies, etc.

To help children feel comfortable, parents should encourage them to be confident and not put pressure on their scores. In particular, after each exam, parents should not show their children the answers to the subjects and ask them to compare.
