In Vietnam, the Government has issued the National Strategy and National Action Plan on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, identifying strategic tasks. These are: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the use of clean energy and renewable energy; greening production; greening lifestyles and sustainable consumption. The trend of consuming "green" tourism is increasingly attracting tourists' attention, especially environmentally friendly products that respect indigenous cultures and local communities.
According to Trip Advisor research: 34% of tourists surveyed are willing to pay more to stay in environmentally friendly hotels, 50% are willing to pay more for travel companies that benefit local communities and conservation activities. It can be seen that "green" tourism not only ensures sustainable development but is also a solution to increase the number of tourists with high spending, awareness, and civilized behavior when traveling. The United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) has identified that developing tourism in the direction of green growth is necessary and inevitable, in which tourism is a factor promoting green economic development.
