The ceremony to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Uncle Ho's passing and the 55th anniversary of preserving and promoting the value of the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace (1969-2024) was held on the morning of August 22.
The event aims to commemorate the 55th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's passing, 55 years of implementing his sacred testament, 55 years of preserving and promoting the value of the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace (1969-2024) and 70 years of Uncle Ho living and working at the Presidential Palace (1954-2024).
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong emphasized that the Uncle Ho relic site at the Presidential Palace is one of the first 10 relics nationwide to be recognized as a special national relic by the Prime Minister (phase 1, 2009). This is the only special national relic under the management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the only original relic of Uncle Ho, one of the largest and most important relics among the historical-revolutionary relics of Vietnam in general and the first relic in the system of memorial relics of Uncle Ho nationwide in particular.
Over the past 55 years, with the attention of the leaders of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and all classes of people, the correct leadership of generations of leaders and the unceasing efforts of the collective of civil servants and workers, the relic site has well performed the task of preserving and promoting the heritage value of President Ho Chi Minh at the Presidential Palace to the people at home, overseas Vietnamese visiting the Fatherland and international friends.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh not only left our nation an unprecedented glorious revolutionary career in history, he also left our entire Party and people a noble legacy, which is a shining example of the moral qualities of a revolutionary, symbolizing the most beautiful things in the soul, will and personality of the nation and humanity. In that sense, the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace is the eternally precious "old Uncle Ho's realm", a place where the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh converge and spread deeply...
Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace, shared: During his revolutionary career, President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in many places, but the Presidential Palace was honored to be the place where he was associated with the longest - the last 15 years of his life (1954-1969).
This place permanently preserves the image and memory of the ideology, morality and style of the great leader Ho Chi Minh, the Hero of Vietnamese national liberation, an outstanding cultural figure, an international communist soldier, and a loyal friend of progressive and peace-loving humanity.
As one of the first 10 relics in the country to be ranked as a special national relic, the leading relic in the system of memorial relics of Uncle Ho, the relic site is currently effectively carrying out two political tasks in parallel: Preserving and maintaining the original state of his residence and workplace at the Presidential Palace as he lived and worked during his lifetime; effectively promoting the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh at the Presidential Palace. In which, preserving and maintaining the original state of the relic is the core political task; promoting the value of the relic is an important political task.
The relic site does not have massive, overwhelming monumental structures, but rather simple, familiar grounds. Although the scale and architecture are not large, they contain the intellectual qualities, thoughts, and noble style of a great man.
Spanning 15 particularly important years in the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, all the material heritage from the house, belongings to the landscape of trees, roads, fish ponds..., along with the profound and rich spiritual heritage he left behind, have converged into "the realm of Uncle Ho's past" with a complete and original "historical - cultural memory field", which can be affirmed to be rare in the system of relics and souvenirs about him.
After President Ho Chi Minh passed away, the cadres who had served him volunteered to stay, devoting their hearts and efforts to taking care of and preserving his relics, from his house, garden, fish pond to daily necessities.
55 years have passed, but the relic site of Uncle Ho at the Presidential Palace is still carefully and thoughtfully protected and preserved. All relics, documents and artifacts of President Ho Chi Minh at the Presidential Palace are being preserved intact as when he lived and worked.
Continuing the glorious tradition, the collective of civil servants and workers of the relic site are always deeply aware of the honor and pride of serving the glorious cause. This is not only a job, a responsibility, an obligation, but above all, it is the love and respect offered to Uncle Ho, the burning desire, the earnest desire to preserve and maintain his heritage in the best way and spread more deeply the countless affections he left here to the majority of compatriots in the country and international friends, Ms. Le Thi Phuong affirmed.
In this series of commemorative activities, the relic site organized the award ceremony of the Contest "Explanation staff at the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace" and the Photography Contest "The beauty of the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace"; opened the exhibition "55 years since Uncle Ho passed away, 55 years of preserving and promoting the value of the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace (1969-2024)."
These are meaningful activities, contributing to making the image, value and position of the relic site more vivid in the public's mind.
