6 champions representing Vietnam will compete in international office informatics

On the morning of June 14, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the IIG Vietnam Education Organization jointly organized the Closing Ceremony and National Award Ceremony of the World Office Software Championship (MOSWC) - Viettel 2024 season. Here, the Organizing Committee honored the national champions along with hundreds of individuals and groups with high achievements.

It is known that the 6 national champions of the Competition will represent Vietnam to participate in the World Finals of the MOSWC 2024 Competition, taking place from July 28 to 31 in Anaheim (California, USA).

Here, the Vietnamese MOS team will compete with the best candidates from nearly 100 countries and territories around the world for the opportunity to win Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals with corresponding prizes of 8,000, 4,000, and 2,000 USD, respectively.

In addition to honoring the above national champions, the Organizing Committee also awarded 18 Second Prizes, 30 Third Prizes, 72 Encouragement Prizes and 6 Promising Prizes along with many valuable prizes to individuals and groups with high achievements in this year's Competition.

According to statistics, in the 2024 season, the Competition recorded nearly 2,200 contestants from 240 teams of universities, colleges, intermediate schools, and high schools across the country. Among them, many schools, although sending teams to participate for the first time, have achieved many good results.

After the national qualifying round, nearly 86% of the candidates scored 700 points or more, qualifying for the MOS certificate certified by Microsoft Corporation with global value. This is a "plus point" that effectively supports learning and finding job opportunities in the digital age.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth Nguyen Tuong Lam commented: The contest has created opportunities for young people to perfect their information technology application skills according to international standards, creating favorable momentum for future development with globally prestigious professional certificates.
