According to the report presented at the Conference: In the first 6 months of 2025, the Party Committee and Command of Naval Region 5 have thoroughly grasped and effectively implemented the resolutions, directives and orders of the superiors, and comprehensively completed all aspects of work. Notably, the Region has well performed the tasks of combat readiness, patrolling, reconnaissance, on-duty posts, and strictly managed the assigned sea areas; strictly maintained forces, means, and on-duty systems at all levels; organized training for the subjects with the correct and sufficient content, programs, and time according to regulations; conducted live-fire tests to achieve the set goals and requirements, ensuring absolute safety.

The region has performed well its defense diplomacy tasks; effectively deployed party work, political work, logistics and technical work for the tasks; done well in mass mobilization, search and rescue, and helped people prevent and combat natural disasters; effectively carried out propaganda work on seas and islands, propaganda against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, the program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea", the activity "Navy sponsors fishermen's children", contributing to building a stronger "people's heart position" at sea.
In the last 6 months of 2025, the Party Committee and Command of Naval Region 5 will focus on leading and directing agencies and units to perform well in military and defense work. The focus is on training, combat readiness, defense diplomacy, patrolling, reconnaissance, on-duty posts, and sea management; strictly maintaining order, regimes, forces, and means on-duty readiness, responding to incidents, natural disasters, and search and rescue; proactively grasping the situation of sea areas and military bases, promptly advising, proposing, and accurately and effectively handling situations, avoiding being passive or surprised.
Speaking at the conference, Rear Admiral Trinh Xuan Tung acknowledged and commended the achievements of agencies and units in the first 6 months of 2025 and requested Party committees and commanders at all levels to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense ; strictly maintain the regime, forces and means on combat readiness; organize training, exercises and live-fire tests strictly, with quality and efficiency, ensuring absolute safety. Along with that, grasp the situation in the air and at sea, promptly advise, propose and successfully handle situations, avoid being passive and surprised.
The Commander of Region 5 also noted that units need to continue to perform well the work of ensuring logistics and techniques for regular and unexpected tasks; coordinate and cooperate with local Party committees, authorities and forces to effectively carry out the tasks of combating IUU fishing, propagating seas and islands, helping people prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, searching and rescuing, preventing and fighting fires and forest fires; contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the area, building a solid national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture, creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland.

At the conference, authorized by the Minister of National Defense, the Naval Region 5 Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements from 2023 to 2024 and the title of Emulation Fighter of the Whole Army to 4 individuals with continuous outstanding achievements in performing tasks from 2022 to 2024.

The Naval Region 5 Command also awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 collectives and 36 individuals for their good achievements in the peak emulation campaign "Solidarity, Democracy, Discipline, Determination to Win" to welcome the 13th Naval Region 5 Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
