Agribank Quang Nam supports Lang commune with more than 4 billion VND from twinning activities

(QNO) - On the afternoon of May 15, the People's Committee of Lang Commune (Tay Giang) and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam - Quang Nam Branch (Agribank Quang Nam) held a conference to summarize 24 years of twinning.

Since 2001, Agribank Quang Nam has accompanied Lang commune in implementing many meaningful social security programs with a total support budget of more than 4.1 billion VND. Notable among these are support plans for plants and animals such as Siamese ducks, Thai jackfruit, Taiwanese mango, green-skinned grapefruit, purple ginseng, cinnamon... for hundreds of households to develop their livelihoods.

In addition, Agribank Quang Nam also presented thousands of Tet gifts, built 39 charity houses, supported production tools and school equipment, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the Co Tu people.

In addition to direct support resources from twinning programs, Agribank Quang Nam also created conditions for 160 households in Lang commune to access loans for economic development with a total outstanding loan balance of more than 22 billion VND.

Speaking at the conference, the leaders of Lang commune highly appreciated the long-term and effective companionship of Agribank Quang Nam over the past 24 years, and at the same time wished to continue to receive more practical support to build sustainable economic models, contributing to poverty reduction and improving the lives of people in border areas.
