FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FOX) has just approved the payment of the second dividend for 2024 in cash at a rate of 30%, equivalent to 3,000 VND per share. The closing date for the shareholder list is expected to take place on April 28. The payment date will be June 6.
With more than 492.5 million shares in circulation, FPT Telecom plans to spend nearly VND1,480 billion in this dividend payment. Previously, in March this year, the company finalized the list to pay the first dividend at a rate of 20%. Thus, the total dividend rate that FOX shareholders will receive in 2024 is 50%.
For many years, FPT Telecom has been a company that has regularly paid cash dividends at the rate of 20-30%. Regarding the shareholder structure, FPT Corporation, chaired by Mr. Truong Gia Binh, is the parent company of FPT Telecom, holding more than 45.66% of capital.
However, the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) is the largest shareholder holding more than 50% of capital at FPT Telecom.
Therefore, in the upcoming dividend, SCIC will receive the most with nearly 740 billion VND. The group will receive about 675 billion VND.
According to the explanatory notes in FPT's audited financial statements for 2024, the group said that although it owns 45.66% of FPT Telecom's equity, the company has the right to cast the majority of votes at meetings of the board of directors or equivalent management level. At the same time, FPT has the right to control the financial and operational policies of FPT Telecom.
FPT Telecom is introduced as one of the leading telecommunications and Internet service providers in the region. According to its 2024 annual report, this enterprise has nearly 10,000 official employees, nearly 300 offices and transaction points, and total assets of up to VND 23,768 billion.
Regarding business performance, FPT Telecom recorded revenue of VND17,617 billion, an increase of more than 11% compared to the previous year. Profit after tax reached VND2,803 billion, an increase of 18%. Notably, in yesterday's trading session, while FPT shares hit the floor, FPT Telecom's FOX code increased sharply by nearly 5%, closing at VND96,600.
