Alcaraz was in impressive form in a dominant 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 win over Norrie. The world No. 2 saved all five break points he faced to seal the match in just one hour and 39 minutes. With the win, Alcaraz became only the second active male player to reach three or more Wimbledon semi-finals, joining seven-time champion Novak Djokovic.
“I’m really happy to be able to play another semi-final at Wimbledon. It’s something really special and something I wanted to do at the beginning of the week. I’m really happy with the form I showed today against a tough opponent like Norrie. I’m sure no one works harder than him, so it’s great to see him play matches like this,” Alcaraz said after the match.

Playing in his second Wimbledon quarter-final, Norrie struggled to trouble Alcaraz from the baseline. However, the Spaniard showed his skill and often surprised his opponent at the net, winning 14 of his 16 points on serve and volley.
Alcaraz was not only sharp in all aspects, but was especially effective with his first serve. He won points with ease, winning 89% (50/56) of his first serve points and hitting 12 aces.
After his 23rd straight ATP win, Alcaraz will face Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals. Alcaraz leads Fritz 2-0 in the head-to-head series. The 22-year-old Spaniard is aiming to join Bjorn Borg as the only men in the Open Era to achieve the Roland Garros-Wimbledon double in consecutive years.
Fritz arrives at Wimbledon fresh off a fourth Eastbourne title and victory in Stuttgart two weeks earlier. The American became only the second active male player after Djokovic to win five or more grass-court titles, and is on a nine-match winning streak.

“He played great and was really successful with two titles, reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon. I will be ready for that battle. It is always difficult to play against Fritz. I will have to focus, but right now I want to enjoy and live this moment because it is really not easy to play a semi-final here," Alcaraz commented on Fritz.
Although he will not be able to overtake Jannik Sinner as world number one even if he defends his Wimbledon title, Alcaraz currently leads the Italian by 2,640 points in the ATP rankings, which will determine the year's number one. Alcaraz is chasing his sixth Grand Slam title.
