On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon – 2024, this morning, January 30th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union – the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri Province, in coordination with Quang Tri General Trading Corporation, organized the program “Year-End Celebration with Mom”.

Visiting the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers Nguyen Thi Phuoc, currently residing in Ward 3, Quang Tri town; Mother Phan Thi Thuoc and Mother Dao Thi Vui, currently residing in Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district; Mother Luu Thi Dy, currently residing in Hien Thanh commune; Mother Pham Thi Oanh and Mother Ta Thi Phun, currently residing in Trung Nam commune, Vinh Linh district; Mother Nguyen Thi Then, currently residing in Gio My commune; and Mother Nguyen Thi Nay, currently residing in Phong Binh commune, Gio Linh district, the officials, union members, and youth kindly inquired about their health and encouraged them. They also expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices and losses of the Mothers and paid tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national independence.

In the festive atmosphere leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), youth union members offered incense to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs; presented meaningful gifts to the Mothers; cleaned houses, went to the market, cooked the New Year's Eve meal, and ate with the Mothers. This program was not only implemented in the aforementioned localities but also simultaneously in the families of 21 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers throughout the province.
Launched in 2020, the "Year-End Celebration with Mom" program has become an annual event to express the deep gratitude of the younger generation for the immense sacrifices of the heroic Vietnamese mothers in the province during each Tet holiday.
