Music stages are increasingly becoming spaces for art to go hand in hand with social issues, contributing to building a better life.

Speak up on the burning issues of the times
On the evening of June 5, in the Vietnamese Cultural Space by Hoan Kiem Lake ( Hanoi ), the program "Vietnam forever green in all four seasons" of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater with the participation of People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, singer Thai Thuy Linh... spread the message of building a sustainable lifestyle together, in harmony with nature, using natural resources reasonably, and fighting environmental pollution.
The songs “Proud of Vietnam, Always Green”, “Our Love, Silver Sea, Green Fields”, “Let’s Keep the Planet Green”, “Sing for the Planet Green”, “Like a Green Marble”… were elaborately staged, incorporating suggestive images, calling on people to connect more with nature and join hands to protect natural resources and the environment.
As the scriptwriter and director of the program, People's Artist Tran Binh believes that art not only serves beauty, but also must speak out on the burning issues of the times, in which environmental protection is always an urgent issue.
Previously, at the end of May, the Forestival 2025 music festival, combining electronic music, contemporary folk music and forest activities, left an unforgettable mark.
Taking place in the space of Trang An scenic complex ( Ninh Binh province), the program not only brings the audience to sublimation in eye-catching, modern, inspiring performances from famous, talented artists such as Ha Anh Tuan, Hoang Dung, Tlinh, Den, Vu Cat Tuong, Phan Manh Quynh, Vu..., but also has meaningful community activities.
Notably, all tickets to the show are free but come with a commitment: Each audience member must contribute a green action, from picking up trash, recycling, to spreading the message on social networks. The organizers, artists and audience contributed 500 million VND to repopulate and protect the rare white-cheeked langur that resides in Ninh Binh. Before the concert, 1,000 audience members and artists participated in planting forests at Cuc Phuong National Park.
Right before the 5th and 6th concerts in Hung Yen in June, the program “Anh trai vu ngan cong gai” launched the community campaign “3,300 good deeds” in 2 weeks. According to the Organizing Committee, not only stopping on the music stage, the program hopes to spread many positive things to the community, contributing to building a better society.
Similarly, the program "Anh trai say hi" was also very successful when combining art and humanitarian activities, accompanying online running events, voluntary blood donation, donations to support the disadvantaged...
Support, encourage to spread
In addition to major performances, many artists also make their own music products for the community, conveying meaningful messages about life and receiving enthusiastic support. For example, rapper Den with his music video (MV) and the project "Cooking for children" has contributed to providing meals and building schools for children in remote areas; the MV "Music of the forest" conveys the message of planting more trees, greening the living space.
Rapper Binz released the MV “Xuan Dan(g) den ben em” along with music giving lucky money envelopes and Tet meals to children. Double2T also took similar action with the MV “Dang mat troi” (Stealing the sun), bringing both singing and solar energy to remote, mountainous and un-electric areas…
Participating in the program “Vietnam forever green in all four seasons”, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan expressed that the journey of protecting the environment is the responsibility of the whole society. For artists, it is also the responsibility to inspire the beauty of nature to spread through lyrics, melodies and practical actions.
“For me, protecting the green color of Vietnam all year round comes from small daily actions such as reducing the use of plastic bags, limiting plastic waste when performing, planting more trees, or simply keeping the place where I live clean,” Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan shared.
However, to have programs that are both artistic and spread community messages, organizers also face many challenges. The most difficult is resources, when the programs do not focus on revenue, do not sell tickets or only mobilize social resources.
As an artist with a long history of artistic activities associated with community projects, singer Ha Anh Tuan expressed that this is a journey of responsibility, trust and gratitude for society, doing things with sincerity will receive the support of the community.
Speaking at the program “Vietnam forever green in all four seasons”, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam said that music and art have the ability to touch hearts and move behavior. With the characteristics of an industry closely linked to the community, nature, heritage and tourism, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism always identifies its responsibility and directs and encourages programs that combine art and convey meaningful messages, to build a better life together.
