In the context of increasingly deep globalization, international trade is entering a new era of development, where digital transformation and cross-border e-commerce are not only trends but have become essential platforms to help businesses reach out, approach and conquer global consumers.
Cross-border e-commerce is considered a solid 'bridge' to help Vietnamese businesses affirm their position and spread their brands globally.
Vietnamese businesses grow impressively
At the conference "Export Breakthrough: Vietnamese brands take off globally" held on July 23 in Hanoi , Mr. Larry Hu - General Director of Amazon Global Selling Southeast Asia was impressed by the number of Vietnamese businesses present on the Amazon e-commerce platform.
In just 5 years, Vietnamese businesses have grown strongly: The number of goods sold on Amazon increased by 300%, the number of Brand Registry registrations increased 35 times. Today, more than 60% of the products sold on Amazon come from third-party sales partners, including thousands of Vietnamese businesses. Each year, these businesses export and sell millions of products to Amazon customers around the world , showing steady progress in the international market.
The product groups from Vietnam that are leading the growth rate are: Healthcare, Home, Kitchen, Apparel and Beauty.

Mr. Larry Hu also shared some experiences to do business successfully on international e-commerce platforms such as: Product innovation; understanding customers and markets; effective global logistics; building strong brands; having a market penetration strategy and complying with regulations; driving growth with AI tools; being flexible to adapt, testing new approaches and improving rapidly based on real data.
These 'keys' have also created the success story of Vietnamese businesses on Amazon.
"Support" 1,000 Vietnamese businesses to expand globally
Also at the Conference, the Trade Promotion Agency and Amazon Global Selling Vietnam announced the establishment of a 3-year partnership to jointly implement the program "Vietnamese Brands Go Global" (V-Brands Go Global with Amazon).
This important cooperation aims at the common goal of creating a 'launch pad' for success for Vietnamese businesses in the global e-commerce market.

Running from 2025 to 2027, the program will have two goals: providing comprehensive training and online export certification for 1,000 Vietnamese businesses, while supporting 30 national brands to increase their international presence through e-commerce with Amazon.
Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade said that proactively diversifying trade promotion activities in the digital environment is no longer an option but a prerequisite to improve the competitiveness, adaptability and sustainable development of Vietnamese enterprises in the international market.
"The program announced and launched at today's Conference is a strategic and practical initiative, marking a new step in the cooperation between the Trade Promotion Agency and Amazon Global Selling Vietnam for the period 2025 - 2027," said Mr. Phu.

Mr. Larry Hu said that this is a transformational period for Vietnam's digital trade: "We see that e-commerce exports are becoming an important driving force in Vietnam's international trade strategy and brand development. Through cooperation with the Trade Promotion Agency, we will support businesses in developing economic regions to innovate products, digitally transform operations and reach out globally."
After announcing the cooperation, the Trade Promotion Agency and Amazon Global Selling Vietnam will launch a comprehensive program to support Vietnamese businesses in expanding their business to international markets.
The program will focus on equipping Vietnamese manufacturers and businesses with the necessary knowledge and support to build strong brands, thereby increasing export value. The initiative will be implemented in two main phases, including: Online Export Promotion Training to improve digital trade promotion skills for 1,000 Vietnamese businesses, this phase provides in-depth training through 20 specialized online courses designed to enhance expertise in Online Export Promotion for businesses.
The next phase is called the Manufacturer Transformation Roadshow: A series of live events taking place in key industrial provinces in Vietnam - including Hanoi, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong - providing practical guidance for manufacturers ready to transition from a traditional manufacturing model to a brand building and development model to compete in the global market.
A representative of Amazon Global Selling Vietnam said that in 2025, this unit will focus on four priorities: Promoting Vietnamese manufacturers to seize opportunities with online exports, developing the industry ecosystem, improving logistics capacity, and supporting successful sales partners through training programs.
In addition, Amazon Global Selling Vietnam will also develop a plan to support large industrial clusters such as the Northern High-Tech and Textile Zone and the Southern Production and Agriculture Zone./.
