Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the achieved results and further promote the potential for development cooperation between An Giang and Takeo provinces in the spirit of friendship and solidarity. On April 8, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung and Governor of Takeo Province Vei Samnang agreed on the direction and tasks of cooperation in the first 6 months of 2025 in many fields, according to the principle of respecting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of each country. Specifically, the two sides continue to effectively implement the Agreement on National Border Regulations (1983), the Treaty on National Border Delimitation (1985), the Supplementary Treaty (2005), the Supplementary Treaty (2019), the Protocol on Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting (2019) between Vietnam and Cambodia and the Press Release (1995) between the two countries. Fully and in good faith implement Point 8, Vietnam - Cambodia Press Release, January 17, 1995; Clause 5, Article III, Supplementary Treaty (2005) and Clause 2, Article 12, Protocol on Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting (2019).

The two provinces continue to agree to ask for permission from superiors to open the Vinh Gia - Ta O sub-border gate pair and the Vinh Nguon - Kompong Krosang sub-border gate pair. An Giang province prepares a dossier requesting the Vietnamese Government to upgrade the Bac Dai - Bak Dai sub-border gate to a main border gate to facilitate trade activities between the two sides. Strengthen protection work, maintain social order and safety along the border; closely coordinate, grasp the border security situation, prevent and combat cross-border crimes, prevent illegal entry and exit... Coordinate bilateral patrols, protect the border according to the current status, protect border markers. Before constructing works along the border, the two provinces need to notify each other in advance so as not to affect the markers and borders of the two countries.

The functional forces on the border continue to coordinate to ensure stability, security and order along the border, contributing to strengthening the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia and the people of both sides. Continue to implement the agricultural cooperation program; support each other in trade promotion activities, organize fairs, markets, and connect trade. Maintain good relations and cooperation in the customs sector and create favorable conditions for border trade activities... to promote the import and export of goods. Continue to coordinate well in implementing the plan to search for, collect and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died on the Cambodian battlefield in Takeo province. Promote good coordination in the work of the front, mass organizations, education, culture, tourism, health, transportation... Continue to hold regular or ad hoc meetings between border localities to exchange information to grasp and assess the general situation in the area, thereby promptly resolving incidents and issues arising on the border between the two provinces in the spirit of solidarity and friendship.
