At the time when the US imperialists were invading Vietnam, 14-year-old student Stefan Natke was oriented towards leftist politics , participating in distributing leaflets to mobilize German people to participate in anti-war protests and support Vietnam's victory.

Today, as a member of the Presidium of the Federal Communist Party of Germany and Chairman of the German Communist Party in Berlin, Mr. Natke still remembers the immortal works of President Ho Chi Minh, which he calls an unforgettable mark for his generation.

The above are Mr. Natke's shares during the working session with Ambassador Vu Quang Minh at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany on September 16.

Accompanying Mr. Natke was Mr. Mathew Read - member of the Central Foreign Affairs Committee of the Communist Party of Germany.

Mr. Stefan Natke affirmed that the global challenges facing Vietnam and Germany today are similar, but the way Vietnam and Germany respond to these issues will be different because the two countries have different policy orientations.

For his part, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh expressed his gratitude for the frank exchanges and valuable information that comrade Natke shared about the current activities of the German Communist Party that Vietnam can study and learn from.

The Ambassador also informed the German side that Vietnam is taking steps to prepare for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, to plan a new development strategy for the country. In this context, the German Communist Party's sharing of ideas and theories is very valuable.

On the occasion of this meeting, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh expressed the sincere gratitude of the Vietnamese people to traditional German friends who have stood by the Vietnamese people in the most difficult times.

The Ambassador affirmed that without the strong support and anti-war movement around the world , especially in Germany at that time, the Vietnamese people's war against America could have lasted much longer.

The Ambassador hopes that the two countries and the two Communist Parties will continue the tradition of friendly cooperation and join hands to build a peaceful and stable world, for the development and prosperity of all countries in the world./.
