Le Duan Street (District 1) is one of the oldest streets in Saigon during the French colonial period that still exists today. This street has witnessed many important historical events of the city.

In 1872, Le Duan Street was established and named "Norodom Avenue". In the 19th century, the street was renamed "Thong Nhut Avenue". In 1986, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee decided to change the name to Le Duan Street as it is today (Photo: Tran Dat).

In 1975, Le Duan Street witnessed an important historical event in Ho Chi Minh City.
