Anh Dao's love scene with her newlywed husband still loses to Trong Lan

In the movie "Rainbow on the Horizon" which is about to air, Anh Dao acts with her newlywed husband for the first time but has more romantic scenes with "someone else's husband" Trong Lan.

Anh Dao was born in 1996, attracted attention when she was invited to play the female lead role in her first film on VTV's prime time show " Road to the Flower Land", then " Meet Me on a Sunny Day" and "Cheer Up, Brothers and Sisters" .  

The actress recently married her husband in the same profession at the beginning of the year and Rainbow on the Horizon is the first film Anh Dao has participated in since she started a family. Although she is not yet a mother in real life, in the film Anh Dao was given the role of Oanh - a sharp and individualistic single mother.

Interestingly, in this film, Anh Tuan - the actress's husband will play the role of her ex-husband, while Trong Lan - Anh Dao's co-star in "Roi ve mien hoa" will play the role of Tuan - a single father who later has feelings for Oanh.

- Were you confused when playing the role of a single mother in "Rainbow on the Horizon" even though in real life you are newly married and not a mother? Who did Anh Dao have to learn from?

At first, I thought this was the third film working with director Vu Minh Tri, so I was too familiar and comfortable. However, when I started the film project, I was really pressured about the role. Because everything the character went through was strange to me, there was only a little bit of real material from outside life that could be put into the film. Therefore, I had to watch, learn and understand the people closest to me.

Director Vu Minh Tri indulged the actors and let them act freely, so everyone was in good spirits, but this time I really didn't think I was under that much pressure. It's not easy to make the scenes realistic and subtle.

I don't know how it will be on film, but the filming process was so focused and hard-working that sometimes my hands went numb. When I'm on set, it's often not what I planned at home. This role is a challenge and I'm looking forward to the results.

- Do you think the experience of filming "Rainbow on the Horizon" will help you practice for motherhood in the future?

Everyone also told me to get used to it gradually because the reality of being a mother is much more terrible than in the movies. When I was filming this movie, I learned from my sister and my mother. I also have many nieces and nephews around me and they often stay at my house so they are not too unfamiliar with children. In addition, the child actors of Rainbow on the Horizon are very professional.

- "Rainbow on the Horizon" is the first movie you acted in as a "married woman". Is there any significant difference, especially when both Anh Dao and co-star Trong Lan are married and not single like when they acted in "Way back to the flower land"? Is it more difficult for the husband to be an actor than when the wife acts with another male co-star?

Anh Tuan (actress Anh Dao's husband's name - pv) also plays a role in this film, specifically the role of my ex-husband. I don't know who suggested this, but when I got to the crew, everyone teased me that it was a good choice. The person who plays the ex-husband of the new bride is the new husband, while my current co-star has just become the new husband (laughs out loud).

Interestingly, the male and female leads of Rainbow on the Horizon are both newly married. So I jokingly said that Lan and I are on the same page because we are both married, so there are no difficulties or challenges. Everyone is looking forward to the release of this project.

- When you were assigned the role in this movie, did you and your husband know in advance or did you only find out when you arrived at the set?

I really didn't know about this in advance and when the production team called my husband, they also told me "don't tell Dao anything to surprise her". I only found out about it when I read the text message and my husband told me on the first day of filming.

Anh Dao and Anh Tuan just got married at the beginning of the year. They play each other's ex-wife and ex-husband in "Rainbow on the Horizon".

- Playing each other's exes, do you two have many scenes together or reminisce about your past marriage?

Of course, but I think this should be left for the audience to discover . I can only say that the number of scenes between me and Mr. Tuan is not much. If I tell them here, it will reveal the whole movie and everyone will guess, so please keep it a secret.

- You are a married couple in real life, but when you play the role of a married couple on film in front of the whole crew and the camera, how do you feel?

At first, I was curious like her, wondering how the scene we were filming together would turn out. But I think it's my job, so when we're on set, we just focus on the character and don't pay attention to what's going on around us.

- In this movie, does Anh Dao have more romantic scenes with her real husband (Anh Tuan) or her screen husband (Trong Lan)?

In this film, I have many romantic scenes with other people's husbands. Lan and I have worked together since the film "Royal to the Flower Land" so there is nothing strange anymore and we are very familiar with each other's acting style.
