This plant has small stems and branches, but is heavily laden with flowers, which bloom in long clusters that sway in the wind.

The Golden Shower Tree, also known as the Golden Cassia or Queen Cassia, originates from South Asia and is considered the national flower of Thailand. Not only is it beautiful with its vibrant flowers, but this tree also symbolizes good fortune and faith in a bright future.

The flowering season of the yellow trumpet vine lasts from May to around July, and the more intense the summer sun, the more vibrant and dazzling the flowers become.

In Hanoi, the golden shower tree was planted experimentally on several streets about 7 years ago, and quickly won the hearts of the capital's residents because of its beauty and its ability to blend easily into the city's overall urban landscape.

Beyond its aesthetic value, the golden shower tree also has high practical value: its wood is hard and heavy, used for making agricultural tools and construction materials; its bark contains a lot of tannin; and the wood makes good charcoal. In addition, the tree helps to block wind and improve soil.

On breezy sunset evenings by West Lake, the golden hues of the cassia flowers blend with the setting sun, creating a scene that is both vibrant and tranquil, evoking the unique beauty of Hanoi.
