'Giving is forever'
At a voluntary blood donation program organized by Tu Ky district (old) in May 2025, while donating blood, Mr. Hoang shared openly and friendly. It is known that he donated blood for the first time in 2015, when he was a student at the College of Radio and Television 1. At that time, overcoming his initial worries, the image of patients waiting for blood transfusions urged him to be bold and courageous to give his blood. After the first blood donation, Mr. Hoang felt that not only was his health not affected, but his spirit was also more excited when doing useful work for the community. Since then, he has paid more attention to taking care of himself, ensuring the best health for the next blood donations.
After graduating, Mr. Hoang took a job at Tu Ky District Radio Station (formerly), and was assigned to be in charge of promoting the activities of the Red Cross Society and the unit's "Addresses in Need of Help" column. This was an opportunity for him to become more involved and understand the noble meaning of the blood donation movement to save lives and volunteer work. Gradually, participating in and responding to humanitarian movements became an important part of his life, and he actively "spread the fire" of the movement in the locality.
Every year, Mr. Hoang regularly donates blood 1-2 times, and has donated blood a total of 12 times so far. Not only does he donate blood regularly, he also donates blood unexpectedly when requested by medical facilities, and is also an active propagandist to spread the word and encourage more people to respond to this noble gesture. “There are many ways for each person to contribute to charity work and help those in difficult circumstances. For me, “giving is forever”, sharing drops of red blood is one of the most practical ways,” Mr. Hoang confided. In June 2025, Mr. Hoang was honored as one of the 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors in 2025 by the Red Cross Society of Hai Duong province (formerly).
