Amidst the solemn red color, the exhibition space of the Ministry of Public Security is more tranquil with two groups of statues: three female Heroic Martyrs of the resistance war and three Martyrs of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police (PCCC & CNCH) who sacrificed their lives in peacetime. Placed side by side, the statues are not only works of art but also become an extended epic about the steadfast and indomitable spirit of the People's Public Security Forces, from bombs and bullets of war to the smoke and fire of everyday life, all converging in the immortal oath: "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".

Flow from past to present

Entering the exhibition space, viewers seem to go back in time to the years of bloody resistance. On the high pedestal, three bronze statues depict Bui Thi Cuc, Vo Thi Sau and Nguyen Thi Loi - three daughters of the nation, three different fates but with the same choice: to fall when their youth was still burning, so that the country could be revived. In the warm light of the exhibition space, their faces are carved with both gentleness and determination. Behind those bright eyes is the story of Bui Thi Cuc - a girl in her twenties, working as a liaison in enemy-occupied areas, captured and tortured to death but determined not to confess.

That is the story of Vo Thi Sau - a young girl from Dat Do, who at the age of 16 held a grenade to attack the enemy, and at the age of 19 sang loudly in front of the enemy's guns in Con Dao. And that is also the story of Nguyen Thi Loi - a woman who hid cadres, maintained the revolutionary base, and then heroically sacrificed herself in a special mission. They all did not live out their youth, but through death, they left behind their lives. Their immortality does not lie in the years of existence, but in their steadfast ideals, in their willingness to sacrifice everything for the Fatherland.

Leaving the memories of the past, the viewer's footsteps stopped before the second group of statues: three soldiers of the Fire and Rescue Police. Their bronze faces were cast in solemnity, their eyes looking straight ahead, their hands tightly gripping their helmets. It was no longer a battlefield of bombs and bullets, but they still exuded a sense of dedication in the moment of life and death. On August 1, 2022, a fierce fire at a karaoke bar on Quan Hoa Street ( Hanoi ) turned into a battle without gunfire. Colonel Dang Anh Quan - the experienced commander, Senior Lieutenant Do Duc Viet - a young officer and Corporal Nguyen Dinh Phuc - a newly enlisted soldier.

Three generations, three lives, but in a fateful moment, they merged into one, rushing into the sea of fire to save people. They helped many victims escape, but then they themselves were trapped forever. That death shocked the whole society. Wreaths, tears, and sobs were not only for the three families, but also for a force that was facing danger day and night. And then, when their bronze statues were erected in the exhibition, people no longer saw loss, but saw a revival - a revival of faith, that in the hearts of the nation there were still people willing to sacrifice themselves to protect their compatriots.

The endless flow of heroic spirit

Looking from the two clusters of statues, viewers not only encounter immortal faces, but also recognize a red thread running through them: the spirit of service. “Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people” - that familiar slogan does not stop at words, but has been written in blood and tears through many generations. It is the spirit that forged the spirit of the resistance girls in their twenties, and it is also the spirit that urges firefighters to rush into fires in the middle of the city. That spirit does not stop at the past, but is continuing to be written by female police officers in the renovation period.

They are present on all fronts: from cyber security, high-tech crime investigation, immigration management to international cooperation. They are not only the “beautiful ladies” behind the scenes, but also dedicated officers, present in the United Nations peacekeeping force, bringing the image of Vietnam to the world. In a harsh environment, these female officers still maintain their gentleness and humanity - continuing the qualities of their predecessors with the intelligence and bravery of the new era.

Likewise, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Force today is a living proof of the continuation of the heroic tradition. If war is gunfire, then the modern city is smoke, fire, chemicals, and accidents. Every time the fire alarm rings, firefighters face the boundary between life and death. The image of them exhausted after their shift, their slow steps in heavy clothes, their rope swings, diving deep to search for victims... all remind us that in peacetime there are always fierce battles, requiring courage no less than on the battlefield.

When placed side by side, the statues of three female resistance heroes and three peacetime Fire and Rescue Martyrs are no longer two separate pieces, but a resonating chord.

When placed side by side, the statues of three female resistance heroes and three peacetime Fire and Rescue Martyrs are no longer two separate pieces, but a resounding chord. One side is the heroic melody of the past, the other side is the silent melody of today. When combined, they create an epic song of service to the Fatherland, affirming that heroism is not a distant concept, but is present in every person, every mission, every moment of dedication.

The most profound thing when stepping out of the exhibition room is the timeless message. Heroes are not only in history books, but also present in everyday life. The peace of the people and the development of the country never come naturally, but are always exchanged with sweat, blood, and even the lives of silent people.

The exhibition of 80 years of achievements of the Country, with the exhibition space of the Ministry of Public Security, not only recreates the past journey, but also conveys the belief for the future. The heroic spirit of Bui Thi Cuc, Vo Thi Sau, Nguyen Thi Loi; the sacrifice in peacetime of officers and soldiers such as Dang Anh Quan, Do Duc Viet, Nguyen Dinh Phuc; the dedication of today's female police officers and the dedication of the modern fire prevention and rescue force... all blend into a unified flow: the flow of responsibility and belief, of courage and humanity.

That flow affirms that, whether in the smoke of bombs or fire, the People's Public Security force will always be the steel shield of the Fatherland, the solid support of the people. And the sacrifices, from the battlefield to everyday life, will always be an eternal flame, illuminating the path of service today and in the future.
