UK: King Charles III officially crowned at Westminster Abbey

King Charles III was officially crowned in a solemn and traditional ceremony at 11:15 a.m. (5:15 p.m. Hanoi time) on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, London (UK).

King Charles III was officially crowned in a solemn and traditional ceremony at 11:15 a.m. (5:15 p.m. Hanoi time) on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, London (UK).

The ceremony was presided over by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, and attended by some 2,300 guests.

Tens of thousands of people gathered at Westminster Abbey and the streets around central London to witness the impressive performance of the British Royal Family.

Security was tightened on all roads surrounding the Coronation and Parade.

British authorities deployed nearly 30,000 police officers in London and Windsor.
