Flowers on the Fire Line is the name of the new Ao Dai collection by designer Lien Huong, dedicated to the women who fought selflessly and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
The designs use red as the main color, expressing the vibrant spirit and strong vitality of Vietnamese women in the resistance war against foreign invaders.
Images of flares, fireballs, bullets, etc. are vividly recreated through each stroke, creating highlights on the flowing ao dai.
These motifs create a unique interplay between artistic and historical language.
In addition to the traditional ao dai, designer Lien Huong also attracted attention when combining the ao dai and the ao ba ba in the same design.
Among them, the Ao Ba Ba is the costume associated with the image of women in the Southwest region, female youth volunteers or female soldiers.
The combination of black ao dai and brightly colored ao ba ba further enhances the wearer's figure.

"We want to use every stitch to tell the story of the women who wrote the heroic history of the nation, about the resilience and optimism like flowers blooming in the midst of fire," added designer Trisha Vo - creative director.
The collection Flowers on the Fire Line will be performed on the opening night of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival on the evening of March 7, at the Ho Chi Minh City Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Walking Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition to beauty queens, runners-up, and models, there are also former female youth volunteers participating in the performance of this ao dai collection.
