Apple will 'shock' with internal memory on iPhone SE 4

The iPhone SE 4 is said to start at $499, but to get there, Apple had to make some drastic adjustments. According to a report from a Chinese retailer, the smartphone is expected to come with just 64GB of storage, which is quite modest in today's tech landscape.

Apple is said to have ditched the physical Touch ID button in favor of an all-screen design for the first time in its budget lineup, giving the iPhone SE 4 a more modern look. According to leaks, the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 6.06-inch LTPS OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, marking a big step up from its predecessor, the iPhone SE 3, which had a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display.

In terms of specifications, the iPhone SE 4 is said to use the same Apple A18 Bionic chip as in the iPhone 16. The product also switches to using a USB-C charging port instead of the Lightning port, according to new regulations of the European Union (EU).

As for the camera, the iPhone SE 4 may only feature a single 48MP rear sensor, marking a significant upgrade. However, with 64GB of storage, users will only have about 40GB left for apps, music, photos, and personal data, after subtracting the space for iOS 18 and system apps.

If Apple keeps the same storage upgrade prices as the iPhone SE 3, the 128GB version could cost $599, while the 256GB version could go up to $699.
