After scoring two goals, Arsenal retreated to play defensive counter-attacks and continued to cause many difficulties for their opponents. In the 36th minute, Martinelli's shot from the left hit the right post and bounced out. Two minutes later, Jesus missed a good scoring opportunity when he tapped the ball wide from a distance of only 2 meters.
Entering the second half, Arsenal took the initiative to slow down the pace of the match, so they no longer created as many scoring opportunities as in the first half. Wolves had more of the ball, but the visitors also did not easily put the ball in a finishing position.
