In the distance, Ms. Ngoc Thanh (50 years old), a neighbor and also a "regular" customer of this restaurant for many years, sadly looked over to Ms. Thanh's familiar restaurant from time to time. Ms. Thanh said that right after hearing the news of Ms. "Ut Mot" (the name her neighbors affectionately called Ms. Thanh - PV) passing away, she was so shocked that she was speechless.
According to this "regular" customer, she and Ms. Thanh have a close relationship, they live next door to each other so they often eat at The Lunch Lady. A few days ago, she saw Ms. Thanh healthy and preparing to go to Canada, but then she received bad news.
"Ut Mot died suddenly, I was shocked, cried and couldn't sleep. Life is truly impermanent. Ut Mot lived a life that was loved by his neighbors and everyone, everyone loved him, so now that he died suddenly, everyone is heartbroken. The neighbors have been talking about this in grief for a long time," said Ms. Muoi (62 years old), a regular customer and also a neighbor of Ms. Thanh sitting next to her.
Many neighbors and regular customers of the restaurant were saddened by the news of Ms. Thanh's death.

He regretfully said that Mrs. Thanh was a cheerful, gentle person, lived close to her neighbors, and was well-liked. Mr. Hiep also sent his deepest condolences to her family and relatives for the sudden passing of this restaurant owner.
In a recent interview with Thanh Nien Newspaper, Ms. Thanh shared that her cooking ability was inherited from her mother. Her mother was a famous chef and from a young age, she was taught how to cook by her mother. Of course, when opening a restaurant, she had to explore and learn a lot to have the complete recipe as it is now.
"I didn't live in this area before, but because of the house clearance, we had to resettle in an apartment. My sister was selling here at that time. Seeing that, she said she would sell in the morning, and I would sell at noon. Now we are both older, so we sell at noon from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.," she shared with reporters in 2023.
