Bac Ninh: Construction of the project "Repairing the road surface and works on provincial road 296" started

BAC NINH - The Department of Construction has just started construction of the project "Repairing the roadbed, road surface and works on provincial road 296, section from Km2+400 - Km9+300" in Hiep Hoa and Hop Thinh communes.

The project has a total investment of more than 96 billion VND from the provincial budget, with the Department of Construction as the investor, and the Bac Ninh Road Maintenance Management Board as the project manager; the construction supervision consultant is Xuan Truong Consulting Joint Stock Company (Lai Chau); the construction contractor is "Joint Venture of Provincial Road 296 Construction Contractors, section from Km2+400 - Km9+300".

Construction of roadside drainage ditch, section through Van Tu residential group, Hiep Hoa commune.

The scale of construction investment follows the existing roadbed and surface with a roadbed width of 12 m; road surface width of 7 m; total reinforced curb width on both sides of the road is 4 m; total dirt curb width on both sides of the road is 1 m... The route passes through Hiep Hoa and Hop Thinh communes, Bac Ninh province.

The section of the route passing through densely populated areas will build longitudinal trenches close to the road edge to collect surface water; repair the drainage system and traffic safety system on Provincial Road 296 from Km2+400 - Km9+300. Repair and replace 2 old bridges (Thuong Thang Bridge and Ha Noi Bridge on the route do not guarantee the load capacity of HL93) to ensure safe and effective exploitation of the road works. Particularly, the section from Km7+880 - Km8+560 will only repair the traffic safety system and replace some old damaged panels.

According to the plan, the entire project will be completed by the end of January 2026. Once put into use, the project will contribute to completing the provincial road traffic network; enhancing connectivity, meeting people's travel needs; improving the exploitation capacity of the route, contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of Bac Ninh province.
