On the day of construction, the hill was just a vacant lot, hastily leveled...
On the day of the groundbreaking ceremony, even the most optimistic people probably did not dare to think that the project could be completed in such a short time. The terrain was fragmented and steep, making the transportation of materials a difficult problem. The roads leading to the construction site were still just red dirt trails, slippery in the rainy season and dusty in the dry season. But overcoming all that, the diligent hands of the team of workers turned difficulties into motivation day by day.

They are workers from many places, carrying with them a sense of responsibility and dedication. Some have to travel hundreds of kilometers from home, living in makeshift camps set up in the mountains. During the day, they work hard under the scorching sun or in the pouring rain. At night, the lights from the construction site are still bright, because they know that every passing moment is precious.
Mr. Luu Van Hung, representative of 1 of 5 units constructing the Kho Vang resettlement area, said: "We have mobilized over 100 workers, along with many bulldozers, excavators, cars, concrete mixers... to continuously work in 3 shifts and 4 crews. Indeed, in Lao Cai province, there has never been a project built and completed at a record speed like this resettlement area."
But the Management Board, contractors, engineers and workers overcame it all. In less than 90 days, a new residential area emerged firmly.
But they are not alone. Local authorities and businesses always accompany and support closely. The leader of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, during a progress inspection trip, brought a whole pig as a gift to encourage the workers' spirit.
The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ) not only contributed financially, but also donated two pigs to "fuel" the team. The gifts seemed small but contained great concern, giving strength to those who worked day and night in the remote mountains and forests.
During those 90 days, it was extremely urgent. Every meter of land was leveled, every brick was carefully arranged. The houses were not only built solidly and safely, but also imbued with the cultural identity of the Mong and Dao people. Low-rise houses with sloping roofs, along with small courtyards… created a harmonious and beautiful whole. Every detail, no matter how small, was carefully taken care of to ensure that people could settle down and work for a long time.
These days, when we returned, the reconstruction area had completely transformed. From a desolate hill, this place became a vibrant village.
The beautiful village appeared in record time.
Children can now play on clean concrete roads. Adults are busy cleaning their houses, planting trees and flowers… with the hope of a better life. Kho Vang has now become a symbol - a symbol of will, of solidarity and of faith in a bright future.
From above, the houses look like musical notes stretching across the hillsides, blending with the green of the mountains and forests. This scene is not only the pride of the local people, but also an inspiration for anyone who comes here, that: No matter how difficult, people can still overcome, as long as they have the will and unity.
And the greatest thing that this journey brings is faith - faith in revival, rising strongly from adversity. And with what has been done, Kho Vang is not only a resettlement place for a community, but also a symbol of a beginning, of the dream of a better life...
