'The most beautiful beach on the planet' packed with people on September 2nd holiday

This year's National Day holiday on September 2nd falls right in the middle of a heat wave, and beaches in Da Nang have welcomed tens of thousands of visitors to come and cool off.

My Khe Beach (Da Nang) was voted "the most beautiful beach on the planet" and is crowded these days. It is noted that other beaches such as Phuoc My, Man Thai, Non Nuoc, etc. have seen more and more visitors as the afternoon progresses. On the last day of the September 2nd holiday this year, these beaches still welcomed tens of thousands of people coming to swim. Mr. Nguyen Long Phi (a tourist from Hanoi ) shared: "The beach in Da Nang is really beautiful and clean. Before saying goodbye to this city and returning to Hanoi tonight, my friends and I took the opportunity to have fun and enjoy the cool air at the most beautiful beach on the planet."

Not only coming to cool off, many locals and tourists also strolled on the sandy beach to watch the sea or sit and enjoy the breeze. Many families flew kites, built sand castles, and enjoyed the cool air at the end of the day. Closing the September 2nd holiday this year, many people in Da Nang chose to go to the beaches to rest and relax. Mr. Le Van Hoang (Da Nang resident) said: "My family really likes to go to the beach to play and cool off during the holidays. As a local, I am very happy that so many tourists chose Da Nang beach as their destination during the recent holiday." According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the total number of visitors and tourists during the 4-day holiday (from August 31, 2024 to September 3, 2024) reached nearly 308,000, an increase of 21.2% over the same period in 2023. Of which, domestic visitors reached about 217,000, an increase of 23.8% over the same period in 2023. International visitors reached about 91,000, an increase of 15.3% over the same period in 2023. Total tourism revenue reached more than 1,200 billion VND, an increase of 33.8% over the same period in 2023. The total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang during the 4-day holiday is estimated at 479, a slight increase over the same period in 2023 (an average of 120 flights/day). Of which, there are 202 international flights, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2023 (average 50 flights/day), and 277 domestic flights (average 70 flights/day).
