On September 27, Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of 35 provinces on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views, chaired the Steering Committee Conference, evaluating the results of 9 months' work, and deploying tasks for the last 3 months of 2024.
Attending the conference were comrade Dinh Thi Bich Thao, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the 35 Provincial Steering Committee; comrades and members of the Steering Committee.
In the first 9 months of 2024, the Steering Committee of 35 provinces directed all levels and sectors to effectively implement the work of grasping the ideological situation and public opinion; directing and guiding the team of collaborators to share and spread positive information, good people, good deeds; posting news and articles, participating in commenting, fighting and refuting false, distorted and untrue information on cyberspace according to the direction and orientation of the Central Government and the province.
Steering Committee 35 at all levels, sectors, collaborators, secretariat, and expert groups have been strengthened, improved, and operated effectively and responsibly. Media agencies closely follow political tasks, coordinate closely, open special pages and columns, diversify forms of information; publish and broadcast many news, articles, and propaganda reports, fight against false and unobjective information, and distorted arguments on complex and sensitive issues in the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; and programs and projects for socio -economic development, national defense, security, and foreign affairs of the province.
Members of the Steering Committee 35 at all levels closely follow the direction, proactively coordinate, advise, and implement the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints according to their functions, tasks, and responsibilities; grasp the ideological situation and public opinion through the fields and sectors they are responsible for. At the same time, closely manage and monitor the ideological developments of cadres and party members; promptly detect emerging problems and issues of public concern.
Regularly monitor, direct, and orient propaganda and counter-propaganda, especially before political events, important anniversaries of the country and locality, and sensitive issues of public concern; promptly provide information and orient propaganda throughout the provincial Party Committee.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Lo Minh Hung requested members of Steering Committee 35 at all levels to continue advising Party committees to effectively lead and direct the implementation of Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo; innovate and improve the quality of theoretical, political and ideological education , foster revolutionary ideals, ethics and lifestyle for cadres, party members and the younger generation; publish the document set "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile views in Son La province at present" to serve training and fostering programs.
At the same time, it is recommended that Steering Committee 35 at all levels strengthen the work of protecting internal politics, regulations on national security, regulations on speaking, providing information and confidential documents. Proactively direct and grasp the ideological situation of cadres and party members, promptly educate, remind, correct and strictly handle cases of taking advantage of the Internet and social networks to post and disseminate distorted, bad, toxic information or express support for the sabotage activities of hostile forces, elements dissatisfied with the regime, and political opportunists with permanent residence in the area.
Prepare well the conditions for organizing the Conference on training on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, rehearsing the fight, prevention and handling of bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks in 2024, awarding prizes in the second Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in Son La province in 2024. Evaluate the results of 2 years of implementing the Project of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Continuing to innovate and improve the effectiveness of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in Son La province, period 2022-2025".
The Steering Committee 35 of the district and city Party Committees and the affiliated Party Committees directs agencies and units to grasp, synthesize and forecast the plots and activities of hostile forces; the ideology of cadres, Party members and people; strengthen coordination with relevant agencies and units to implement the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; promptly report and propose to the Steering Committee 35 of the province, and resolve any arising issues, problems and difficulties in the process of deployment and implementation.
