According to a survey by Dan Tri reporters, the device is currently being offered at a price of 29.7 million VND for the 256GB version, 800,000 VND lower than before. The above price is applied to the desert titanium color version.

Meanwhile, other color versions such as black titanium, white titanium or natural titanium are all priced 300,000-500,000 VND higher. This is also the first time the price of iPhone 16 Pro Max has been adjusted by dealers to below 30 million VND.
The deep discount on the desert titanium version of the iPhone 16 Pro Max may come from the supply of the device. Previously, the desert titanium version received a lot of attention from Vietnamese users. In fact, the product was constantly "sold out" during the first time it was on sale.
This has caused dealers to import large quantities of goods, causing supply to increase. Therefore, price reduction is a necessary move to increase machine sales and reduce inventory pressure.
After nearly a year of launch, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is still the most popular version in the Vietnamese market. Sales of the device have also continuously increased after many price adjustments.
"Currently, the iPhone 16 Pro Max accounts for about 50% of total sales of the entire iPhone industry. Considering the iPhone 16 generation alone, the Pro Max version accounts for nearly 70% of sales," said a representative of the Minh Tuan Mobile system.
According to Ms. Van Thi Ngoc Yen, Apple product manager at Di Dong Viet system, the Vietnamese market has formed special shopping habits for high-end technology products, especially iPhone.

To date, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is still the best-selling iPhone model in Vietnam (Photo: The Anh).
"Users are willing to spend more, prioritizing premium experiences in terms of camera, performance, large screen and luxurious design. This is also the reason why every time an iPhone is launched in Vietnam, the Pro and Pro Max lines are always in short supply," Ms. Yen shared.
The Vietnamese market is considered quite different from the world's shopping trends. A report from market research firm Counterpoint Research said that the iPhone 16 was the world's best-selling smartphone model in the first quarter.
However, the iPhone 16 product line only accounts for a relatively limited portion of sales in Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of the CellphoneS system, revealed that the iPhone 16 only accounts for about 6% of the number of units sold in the entire iPhone product group and about 10% in the iPhone 16 product line.
"In the first 5 months of 2025, 47% of iPhone sales belonged to iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. At the time of launch in September 2024, this number fluctuated around 50%," Mr. Huy added.
