Government Cipher Committee launches electronic portal.

On the morning of September 12th, the Government Cipher Committee held a ceremony to launch its electronic information portal.

This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Cryptography ngành (September 12, 1945 / September 12, 2025) and the awarding of the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

Attending the ceremony were: Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee; Deputy Heads of the Government Cipher Committee: Major General Nguyen Huu Hung, Major General Ho Van Huong; and leaders and representatives of the Vietnamese Cipher sector; the Central Party Office; the Government Office; the Ministry of National Defense ; the Ministry of Public Security...

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Huu Hung emphasized that the Government Cipher Committee is a national cryptography agency with a unique nature, performing the task of information security and safety, requiring a high degree of reliability, discipline, and confidentiality. In the past, the Committee has carefully considered the release of information on the internet, mainly through a number of websites of subordinate units and through rigorously vetted news articles published in the mass media.

However, with the rapid changes in practice, the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, along with Resolution No. 56 on building a revolutionary, regular, and modern cryptography sector, the Board needs an electronic portal to provide official information and affirm its credibility.

After thorough research, preparation, and security measures, the official e-portal has launched with three key objectives: to be an official information channel, providing timely updates on activities, policies, and guidelines related to cryptography in accordance with state secret protection regulations; to be a modern technological platform supporting management and operation, leveraging the strengths of information security and safety; and to serve as a bridge enabling organizations, individuals, and the press to access transparent and accurate information. The launch of the e-portal demonstrates a commitment to innovation and administrative reform, aligning with the process of building a modern cryptography sector.

Major General Nguyen Huu Hung delivered a speech at the ceremony.

To maximize the effectiveness of the e-portal, Major General Nguyen Huu Hung requested that Party committees and unit leaders disseminate the role of the e-portal, defining information provision as a regular task, linked to the responsibility of the head of the unit, and ensuring security; maintaining a stable system, strengthening information security, improving user-friendly interfaces; raising awareness, changing mindsets for working in the digital environment, and contributing to the formation of a digital culture.

Building upon its 80-year tradition of development and growth, the Government Cipher Committee will continue to fulfill its political mission and apply modern technology to serve the Party, the State, society, and the people.

The Government Cipher Committee's electronic portal will become a useful and transparent channel, contributing to the successful fulfillment of the task of building and protecting the Fatherland in the digital age.
