Cao Bang Provincial Ethnic Committee: Strengthening propaganda to reduce child marriage and incestuous marriage among ethnic minorities

The Provincial Ethnic Committee coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize the Golden Bell Contest to promote the reduction of child marriage and incestuous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas at high schools in the province with 5,136 students participating.

Right from the beginning of the year, the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Cao Bang province has proactively implemented the plan, regularly directed the People's Committees of districts and cities to continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and timely detection of subjects at risk of early marriage and incestuous marriage, in order to limit the situation of early marriage and incestuous marriage. Directed districts and cities to promote the construction of pilot models to reduce the situation of early marriage and incestuous marriage.

Specifically, the Provincial Ethnic Committee coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to successfully organize 22 Golden Bell Contests to propagate the reduction of child marriage and incestuous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas at boarding schools, high schools, junior high schools, and secondary schools in the province with 5,136 students participating.

In coordination with the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuracy, and the Department of Justice, two mock trials were organized to disseminate information about early marriage and incestuous marriage in Nguyen Binh district.

Organize 02 working groups to study and exchange experiences outside the province under Sub-project 2 (DA9) of National Target Program 1719. At the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society, in order to effectively deploy all State investment resources for National Target Programs.
