Although most of the members are old, the former Youth Union officials still maintain their enthusiasm, wear youth uniforms, and are excited to visit and learn about the activities of the Press Center.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Dinh Nhu Huong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, said that the Press Center was honored to welcome the delegation to visit and work. The Southern Former Union Officers Liaison Committee is a very familiar name to the Press Center and the unit always appreciates the close relationship and meaningful connections over the past time.
In particular, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the presence of the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters in the Liaison Committee is a great source of encouragement, an example for the staff, employees and youth union members of the Press Center today to continue to follow and strive.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Le Hong Liem expressed his joy and emotion when visiting the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center. He shared that he used to be in charge of press and media advisory work for the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and People's Committee. The Ho Chi Minh City Press Center is a great mark, demonstrating the spirit of democratization in the city's information and propaganda activities.
Highly appreciating the role of revolutionary journalism, Mr. Le Hong Liem emphasized that 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism have affirmed the strong vitality of this profession, the articles reflect the pulse of the people, and are the bridge between the Party's will and the people's hearts.

The Head of the Southern Union's Former Cadres Liaison Committee expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful reception of the Press Center and through the meeting, the delegation further felt the trust, development and increasingly important role of the press in the construction of the city today.
