According to Gaming Bolt , The Division 3 may be in development, but its predecessor still seems to have a lot of appeal. The Division 2 has consistently received new season content for almost five years since its release, and an official expansion is also in development. However, it may arrive later than originally planned.

The Division 2 expansion has been postponed to 2025.

Ubisoft recently announced the "Project Resolve" update for The Division 2 , described as a "seasonal update focused entirely on game quality," to prepare for future content. While this update will bring significant improvements to the gameplay experience, the need to reallocate development work for the update has led to delays for The Division 2's next major expansion.

Lead producer Radu Nedea at Ubisoft Bucharest explained in an announcement video : "The launch of Project Resolve will require our team to build a solid foundation. This has impacted some previously announced plans." With season 3 of " Vanguard " in year 5 scheduled for release next February, the main DLC will be postponed to 2025.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft also announced that The Division 3 had begun development, while The Division Resurgence and The Division Heartland are also in the works, so fans of the franchise will have plenty to look forward to in the coming years.
