Hessen State (Germany) is ready to cooperate in developing an international financial center in Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to further promote the good strategic partnership with Germany in general and cooperation with Hessen state in particular. The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister shared about his working visit to Hessen State in March 2025 to learn about the experience of developing an international financial center in Vietnam and in October 2025 to attend the World Alliance of Financial Centers Conference (WAIFC) in Frankfurt. The Deputy Prime Minister hoped that the two sides would further promote cooperation activities in building and developing an international financial center; at the same time, promote cooperation activities in the field of labor and employment when the demand for labor in health care, medical care , and technical staff from Germany is large and Vietnam is ready to meet this demand.

The Deputy Prime Minister also thanked the Hessen State Symphony Orchestra for successfully organizing performances in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Timon Gremmels shared their views on the good cooperation between Vietnam and Germany; emphasizing that the Vietnam-Germany University is a bright spot, an important project between the two countries. In response to Vietnam's need to build and develop an international financial center, the Federal Republic of Germany in general and the state of Hessen in particular have had very practical cooperation and support. The Vietnam-Germany University has trained two courses on international finance and plans to continue training the next courses. Students are trained with good quality thanks to the lecturers who are leading financial experts from Germany and the state of Hessen.

Thanking Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh for taking the time to receive him, Minister Timon Gremmels said that the state of Hessen is always ready to support and cooperate with Vietnam in promoting the construction and development of international financial centers in Vietnam, especially in the fields of training, consulting; promoting, introducing, and calling on German investors to come to the Vietnam International Financial Center.

Minister Timon Gremmels also said that many German businesses and investors consider Vietnam an attractive destination, with many opportunities, potentials and advantages for cooperation. He expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for German investors to come and cooperate effectively and long-term, for the mutual benefit and development of both sides.
