U23 Vietnam finished the group stage as the top team in Group A - Graphics; AN BINH
Late on July 22, U23 Vietnam won 2-1 against U23 Cambodia in the final round of Group B of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. This result helped coach Kim Sang Sik and his team advance to the top of the group with 6 points.
U23 Vietnam did not play very convincingly but still managed to score 5 goals and concede 1 goal after the group stage.
U23 Cambodia and U23 Laos, despite trying very hard, only got 1 point, accepting to say goodbye to the tournament right from the group stage.

Meanwhile, in Group C, U23 Thailand, despite being held to a 0-0 draw by U23 Myanmar in the final round, still managed to win the group. The "War Elephants" got 4 points (goal difference +4).
U23 Myanmar ranked second in the group with 2 points and U23 Timor Leste was last in the group with 1 point and both "held hands" and returned home early.
This result means that U23 Thailand will have to face the host team U23 Indonesia in the semi-finals, while U23 Vietnam will face U23 Philippines. The two matches promise to create many things to look forward to for football fans in the region.
