The workshop aims to solicit contributions and scientific criticism from educational managers, historical researchers, educational experts and prestigious teachers to complete the manuscript of the book "80 years of Vietnamese Education".
Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Le Anh Vinh, Head of the Editorial Board, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, said that the book manuscript consists of three main parts. Part I recreates the process of formation, construction and development of Vietnam's education from 1945 to the present through each stage of revolution, war, innovation and integration.
Each stage includes four main contents: Historical context; educational policy and guiding viewpoints; educational situation; achievements and limitations. According to Professor Dr. Le Anh Vinh, these movements are not separate from the ups and downs of the country but are a part of the flesh and blood in the flow of national history.
Part II is approached according to the fields and pillars of the education system, including preschool education, universal and compulsory education, general education programs, teaching staff, ethnic education, inclusive education, gifted education, continuing education, vocational education, higher education and educational sciences. Each field reflects profound changes, valuable practical lessons and future directions worth pondering.
Part III focuses on reflecting the history of formation and development of the education and training sector in provinces and cities; outstanding achievements and future development orientations.

According to Professor Dr. Le Anh Vinh, the book is a special work, drafted on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, aiming to systematically review the role of education in the cause of national liberation, construction and development of the country.
“The book is not only a historical summary, but also a basis for affirming that education is an endogenous driving force, a key to human and national development. Through the stages of education development, we can see more clearly the role of education in building national independence, improving people's knowledge, training human resources, narrowing regional gaps, creating fairness and sustainability in national development,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Le Anh Vinh.
The editorial board said that the comments contributed at the workshop will be fully accepted by the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences to edit and complete the manuscript of the book "80 years of Vietnamese Education".
The book is expected to be launched on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Education and Training , contributing to affirming the great contributions of the education sector to the revolutionary cause, construction and development of the country over the past 8 decades.
