Dong Kho commune was merged from Huy Khiem, Dong Kho, La Ngau and Duc Binh communes with a natural area of over 268 km² and a population of 30,885 people. Dong Kho commune Party Committee was established from 4 Party Committees with 38 branches, grassroots Party Committees and affiliated Party cells.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Party Committee and People of Dong Kho commune have united and made efforts to basically achieve and exceed the set targets. The annual planting area is over 16,200 hectares, the commune has a high-quality rice area with an area of over 1,200 hectares. The commune has 1 OCOP product with 3 stars and 2 OCOP products with 4 stars.
In Party building, the annual assessment results show that the Party Committee is classified as having fulfilled its tasks well. By the end of 2024, 10/14 schools in the commune will have met national standards level 1, and the commune will have met 18/19 new rural criteria. The average income per capita in 2020 will be from 40.5 million VND/year, and by the end of 2025, it is estimated to reach 56 million VND/year. Political security and social order and safety will be maintained and stabilized.
In the 2025-2030 term, Dong Kho Commune Party Committee strives to achieve and exceed the annual budget target of 7-8%, the annual multidimensional poverty reduction rate is from 0.8 - 1%. Annually, security and order are ensured, the military and national defense are strong, and the military service reaches 100% of the assigned target. 100% of children under 1 year old are fully vaccinated, and the forest coverage rate is stable at 57%.
The commune strives to have an average income per capita increase by 1.5 - 1.6 times by 2030 compared to 2025, strives to maintain 100% of schools meeting national standards level 1, and the commune meeting national standards on healthcare. The rate of trained workers reaches 82%. The commune strives to meet advanced new rural standards in the period 2025-2030. Every year, over 80% of party organizations and party members are classified as having completed their tasks well or better.
Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Van Quang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, congratulated the achievements that the Party Committee and people of Dong Kho commune have achieved in the past time.
Emphasizing the policy of abolishing the district level and merging the commune level, including the establishment of the new Dong Kho commune, is a major and strategic decision of the Central Government. History is giving Dong Kho commune new opportunities, unprecedented potentials and resources to develop and improve the people's lives. The Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission requested the commune to quickly stabilize its organization, build a great solidarity bloc, and unify its will and actions throughout the Party. At the same time, identify key tasks that need to be implemented to successfully implement the goals of the Congress Resolution with the spirit of clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear products, clear results, clear deadlines, and clear roadmaps.
Dong Kho needs to exploit the local potential and advantages to develop the economy in a sustainable direction. Promote economic restructuring, encourage the development of industries with local advantages. In particular, promote the development of agricultural economy in the direction of commodity production, application of science and technology, increase added value, associated with environmental protection and sustainable development.
