"Next Generation" is dedicated to honoring the remarkable young talents of world football, voted by the Guardian. |
On the evening of October 14, The Guardian published the list of “Next Generation 2025” - the top 60 most promising young talents in the world, and Tran Gia Bao - a player from HAGL - was the only representative name from Southeast Asia to be included. The article, introduced by veteran journalist John Duerden, outlined the image of a bright gem growing in the heart of Vietnamese football.
According to The Guardian , Gia Bao became the youngest player to ever play and score in the V.League at the age of 16 - a historic milestone. Before that, this versatile attacker quickly attracted attention thanks to his technical playing style, flexible movement ability and handsome appearance, making fans compare him to "Vietnam's Lamine Yamal".
Not only outstanding in his teenage years, Gia Bao continued to assert himself in many domestic playgrounds, where he made his mark with daring moves and scored goals that were praised by Nguyen Quang Hai - Vietnam national team striker - as "European class".
Being included in the Next Generation 2025 list is not only a personal honor for Gia Bao, but also a good sign for Vietnamese football, when for the first time in many years, a young domestic player is seen by the world as a hope to reach the European level.
