Since January 18, the Hungarian and Romanian press have shown special interest, continuously reporting and publishing many articles about the official visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.
According to a VNA correspondent reporting from Europe, the online newspaper “The Hungarian Nation” on January 18 published the articles “Prime Minister V. Orban welcomes the head of the Vietnamese Government” and “Prime Minister V. Orban will have an important meeting today”, emphasizing that the “Vietnam-Hungary Comprehensive Partnership” is developing well in all fields; praising Vietnam’s innovation achievements; affirming the spirit of “dare to think, dare to do” of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese Government, contributing to the country’s increasingly development and deeper integration with the world , including the European Union (EU) and its member states; stating that with the effective date of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), the prospect of promoting bilateral relations in the coming time is very large.
The MagyarNemzet daily newspaper published an article on January 19 titled “Vietnam creates great opportunities”, highlighting the “Eastern” origins of the Hungarian people, affirming the “Opening to the East” policy towards a rising Asia; highly appreciating Vietnam’s rapid economic growth; affirming that the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is of great significance to Hungary; the documents signed between the two sides will create many great opportunities for export and investment in the Hungarian economy. The fact that the prestigious Hungarian daily newspaper, which dates back to 1938, devotes a large page to the topic of Vietnam and the Hungary-Vietnam relationship is something that is very rare in Hungarian media in similar cases.
On January 20, the newspaper “The Hungarian Nation” continued to publish an in-depth research article “Central and Eastern Europe can learn a lot from Vietnam” by commentator Klemensits Péter, senior scientific collaborator at the Asia-Europe Center, Neumann János University (Budapest), emphasizing that the traditional, friendly relationship over the past 74 years between the two countries was built on the basis of mutual respect, continuing to be a trend that both sides need to promote in the current complex world context; affirming that Central and Eastern European countries can learn a lot from Vietnam, especially balancing relations between major powers; highly appreciating Vietnam’s economic development after more than 35 years of renovation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and stating that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit will create many opportunities to promote trade and investment between the two countries.
In addition, many websites such as Index.hu, Origo.hu, Magyarhirlap.hu in Hungary highly appreciated the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; praised the political, diplomatic and economic achievements that Vietnam has achieved in recent times. Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto emphasized that Vietnam's rapidly developing economy and the approval of EVFTA are opportunities to boost the export of Hungary's strengths such as poultry, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
After visiting Hungary, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived in Bucharest, starting an official visit to Romania at the invitation of Romanian Prime Minister Ion-Marcel Ciolacu. Here, the local public and press also showed special interest in Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to this country.
The online newspaper “Voice of Maramures” published an article “Friendship between two countries far apart in geography but close in spirit” emphasizing the traditional friendship between Romania and Vietnam, the similarities between the two peace-loving and independent peoples; praising the Communist Party of Vietnam for successfully implementing the “Doi Moi” policy, building a socialist-oriented market economy; increasingly deep international integration; affirming that the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - who studied and worked in Romania - will promote the development of the relationship between the two countries to new heights.
Other Romanian online newspapers such as hotnews.ro, ground.news, lumea.ro, ziarulprofit.ro simultaneously published articles and reports on Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Romania, quoting Minister of Economy, Enterprise and Tourism Stefan Radu Oprea praising Vietnam's achievements in implementing the "bamboo diplomacy" policy, making more friends and fewer enemies; Vietnam, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, has improved relations with world powers, including China and the United States; emphasizing that as a regional power in terms of production capacity, Vietnam plays an increasingly important role in the global supply chain. Vietnam is a member of ASEAN, has signed free trade agreements with the EU, the UK, Chile, Israel and South Korea, and is also a member of larger trade agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Suian, highlighting Vietnam’s impressive achievements after more than 35 years of innovation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Vietnam is striving to become one of the first countries in the world to enter the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, especially in the field of artificial intelligence (AI); Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit to Romania will contribute to promoting the good traditional relations between the two countries on many levels.
The article “Vietnam-Romania relations enter a new phase” by Cotidianul newspaper affirmed that Vietnam has developed a socialist-oriented market economy and achieved many impressive achievements; Vietnam's foreign affairs activities have been vibrant; and highly appreciated Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for his decisive spirit in leadership, which has been creating breakthroughs in governing the country.
