In particular, macroeconomic stability has been maintained; inflation has been controlled; socio-cultural development has achieved positive results and progress in many areas; social security and people's living standards have been increasingly improved; national defense and security have been continuously strengthened; foreign relations and international integration have been elevated; and significant results have been achieved in the fight against corruption, waste, and negative phenomena, as well as in building the Party and the political system, with unprecedented breakthroughs.

Addressing the National Assembly, the Speaker stated that this is the year the National Assembly will continue to inherit, develop, and innovate its organization and working methods, responding quickly to the demands of reality.
The National Assembly has reviewed, discussed, approved, and decided on a vast volume of work; for the first time, it successfully organized the Lawmaking Forum and the Forum on Oversight Activities, affirming a strong innovation in thinking about lawmaking and implementation, and affirming a new, democratic, open, transparent, and accountable method of oversight. The National Assembly and its agencies are also accelerating digital transformation and applying information technology and artificial intelligence, initially yielding practical results.

In that context, the Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that, with the theme "80 Years of the Vietnamese National Assembly," this year's Dien Hong Award received widespread participation from the press and public attention. The Award Organizing Committee received meticulously crafted, innovative, and creative journalistic works that had a profound and widespread impact on social life, were well-received by readers, and were highly appreciated by the Judging Panel.
"Many articles have highlighted the achievements of the National Assembly over 80 years of formation and development alongside the development of the country; reflecting and deeply analyzing the activities of the National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels and elected representatives in the context of the country entering a new era," the Speaker of the National Assembly stated.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Chairman of the National Assembly expressed confidence that journalists will continue to uphold their love for the profession, their sense of responsibility, and their unwavering integrity, reflecting objectively and comprehensively all aspects of life. They will work alongside the National Assembly, promptly and fully conveying its activities; identifying shortcomings in the drafting and implementation of laws, and helping elected bodies operate more effectively and efficiently.
"In particular, the press needs to strongly disseminate the new determination and new spirit throughout the Party, the people, and the armed forces in implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party; and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
