After this round, U17 Vietnam continues to top the table with the same 9 points as U17 Malaysia but with a better goal difference (+22 vs +19). The race for the ticket to the next round between the two teams is still tense.
Commenting on the situation in Group C, Makan Bola newspaper wrote: “After a 5-0 victory over U17 Macau, U17 Malaysia continues to put pressure on U17 Vietnam in the race for the top spot in Group C and the only ticket to the U17 Asian finals.
The two teams are still chasing each other fiercely on the rankings. U17 Vietnam and U17 Malaysia both have 9 points but U17 Vietnam has a better goal difference (+22 vs +19). In the next match on November 28, U17 Vietnam will face U17 Macau, while U17 Malaysia will face U17 Singapore.

Hmetro newspaper commented: “U17 Malaysia continues to maintain the absolute score after 3 matches when beating U17 Macau with a score of 5-0. However, the “Tigers” are still temporarily ranked second in this group when they are behind U17 Vietnam in goal difference. The race between the two teams will still be tense until the two teams meet on November 30.”
The Utusan Malaysia newspaper affirmed that U17 Vietnam and U17 Malaysia have not shown any mistakes in the qualifying round of the U17 Asian Cup. The two teams have won 9 absolute points and have a very good goal difference (+22 vs +19). They predict that U17 Malaysia will have to win against U17 Vietnam in the final match when they are inferior to the home team in goal difference.
Coach Cristiano Roland is satisfied with the performance of U17 Vietnam.
Speaking after the 2-0 win over U17 Hong Kong, coach Cristiano Roland said: “I am satisfied with today’s match. There were times when we had to perform at our best to overcome each situation. Fortunately, the whole team showed strength compared to the opponent.
I am very happy with the current form, the players are fighting very well in a series of consecutive matches in a short period of time. I think they deserve to be congratulated because they are trying very hard."
Coach Takuro Hosaka of Hong Kong U17 also praised Vietnam U17. He said this was a difficult match for both teams. Although Hong Kong U17 lost, he was proud of his players' fighting spirit until the last minute.
Coach Hosaka commented that U17 Vietnam and U17 Malaysia have different playing styles and believes that the confrontation between the two teams will be a match worth watching.
