Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper won two journalism awards for writing about education in Ho Chi Minh City.

(NLDO)- On November 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association held the second "Writing about Ho Chi Minh City Education " journalism award ceremony. In which, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper won two awards.

This year’s HCM City Education Journalism Award attracted more than 90 entries with various topics and genres. Of these, 25 entries (by 56 authors) won prizes, including: 15 consolation prizes, 6 third prizes, 3 second prizes and 1 first prize.

The Lao Dong Newspaper won two prizes, including third prize with the series of articles "Struggling with the new general education program" by the group of authors Dang Trinh, Lan Anh, Thanh Tuan, Bao Lam and the work "Shocking letter of a principal" by author Phuong Quynh, which won the consolation prize.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu - Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine, assessed that this year's entries were quite even in quality. Many excellent entries have created good social effects, impressed the public, brought genuine emotions and positive thoughts to readers about teachers, about the creative activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training sector.

Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper received 2 awards at the Award Ceremony held on the morning of November 19.

In addition, the works submitted for the award have a critical and directional nature for the construction and development of the education and training career in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general. "This award was held on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, and among the entries, there were works about the silent but noble examples of teachers who devoted themselves to their beloved students. Those works were instead of fresh bouquets of flowers sent to teachers on this important day," Mr. Tu emphasized.

Winning first prize with the series "The world finds a place to teach autistic children", reporter Ngoc Phuong, representing the group of authors of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, confided: "From the reality that many parents with autistic children have to struggle to find a school for their children to study, we have found a way to penetrate and take on roles to bring multi-dimensional information to readers.
