The 8th National Journalism Award for Finance in 2023 accepts works in 4 categories: Print, electronic, radio, and television published and broadcast on mass media from January 1, 2021 to May 1, 2023. After more than 2 years of launching, the Organizing Committee has received more than 2,000 entries.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, many entries are of good quality, ensuring topicality, contributing to the dissemination of financial policies and laws, the results of the implementation of tasks of the Finance sector, proposing practical solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, bringing financial policies into life, building a strong national financial foundation, etc.

Leaders of the Ministry of Finance and the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded certificates to the authors and representatives of the group of authors who won the A prize.

Through two preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee and the Final Council selected 4 A prizes, 16 B prizes and 21 C prizes for 4 types of journalism; awarded 10 collective prizes to press agencies with many high-quality entries. The People's Army Newspaper was awarded the collective prize and received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Finance. The group of authors Trung Kien and Duc Thinh of the People's Army Newspaper won the A prize for the printed newspaper category with a series of articles: "Preventing tax losses in business and real estate transfers".

Within the framework of the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Duc Chi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Finance launched the 9th National Journalism Award on the Finance sector in 2025.
