Quang Ngai Newspaper cooperates to start building houses for poor households

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on the morning of April 13. Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc; Deputy Director of Vietcombank Quang Ngai Lu Thi Van Anh and representatives of Nghia Hanh District People's Committee.

Ms. Luong Thi Dung is a poor household with housing difficulties. Ms. Dung has 2 children, the older one is in grade 12, the younger one is in grade 10. Ms. Dung does not have a stable job, has an unstable income, and the family's finances are difficult.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc said that in recent years, along with fulfilling the political tasks of the local Party newspaper agency, Quang Ngai Newspaper has also mobilized and connected organizations, individuals, and businesses to carry out many social security activities. In particular, Quang Ngai Newspaper has called on many units, businesses, and philanthropists to support poor households and households in difficult circumstances to build and repair houses, contributing to the implementation of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

Quang Ngai Newspaper in coordination with Vietcombank Quang Ngai supported Ms. Luong Thi Dung with 60 million VND to build a house.

“In 2025 alone, to celebrate major events in Quang Ngai province such as the 80th anniversary of Ba To Uprising (March 11, 1945 - March 11, 2025); 50th anniversary of Provincial Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), Quang Ngai Newspaper launched a movement to join hands in implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Through the launching ceremony, Quang Ngai Newspaper mobilized and connected to support the construction of 10 houses, including 1 house contributed by officials, civil servants and employees of Quang Ngai Newspaper. Ms. Luong Thi Dung's house is the 8th house to be started among 10 houses that Quang Ngai Newspaper mobilized support to build. On this occasion, Quang Ngai Newspaper would like to thank "To agencies and units, including Vietcombank Quang Ngai, who have actively accompanied Quang Ngai Newspaper in carrying out social security activities," Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc shared.

Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanh Tin Dong Commune, Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, said that there are 23 houses in the commune that need to be repaired or rebuilt. Up to now, 9 houses have been completed, 1 house is being repaired and 1 house has started construction. The above results were achieved thanks to the direction of all levels and the unanimous support and contributions of the people, including the contributions of Quang Ngai Newspaper and Vietcombank Quang Ngai.

The amount of support for Ms. Luong Thi Dung is 60 million VND, from the sponsorship of Vietcombank Quang Ngai, contributing to helping Ms. Dung have more conditions to renovate her house to be more solid and sturdy to settle down and work.
