According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early this morning (October 22), the tropical depression in the sea east of the Philippines has strengthened into a storm, internationally named storm Trami.

At 1 p.m., the center of storm Trami was located in the sea east of central Philippines. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 8, gusting to level 10. Moving northwest at a speed of 15-20 km/hour.

From the next 72 to 120 hours, the storm will move mainly to the West, traveling 15-20km per hour, and will continue to strengthen.

The eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea has strong winds of level 6-7; from the morning of October 24, it will increase to level 8-9, near the storm center, it will be level 10-11, gusting to level 14, waves 4-6m high, near the storm center, 6-8m; the sea will be very rough.

Ships operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are susceptible to the effects of storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.

To proactively respond to heavy rain and tropical depression, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development requested ministries, branches, and Chairmen of People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Binh Dinh to closely monitor forecasts and warnings. Notify captains and owners of vehicles and boats (including tourist boats) operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property.

Maintain communication to promptly handle possible bad situations; prepare forces and means for rescue when requested.

The above provinces and cities deployed shock troops to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, and areas at high risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides. Proactively relocate and evacuate people in dangerous areas to safe places.
